Our new paper led by Yuan in Soil Biology & Biochemistry is out!!! Natural grasslands promote SOC mainly via plant-derived lignin phenols while legume grasslands enhance SOC mainly via microbial residue carbon. Findings highlight legumes as a key strategy to increase SOC sequestration in drylands.
