Today Gov. Abbott signed SB 8 into law. This would restrict which restrooms transgender people can use in government buildings and schools and fines institutions up to $125,000 for violations affecting not only students but also employee. The law will go into effect on December 4th. Hate won.

The Texas House voted in favor of HB8, legalizing bathroom stalking. Under HB8 strangers can now legally monitor who enters which bathroom, sue government entities over "suspicious" individuals, and drain your tax dollars with up to $125,000 fines.

The 89th legislature session in Texas is getting to an end and many bad bills are being voted. SB 10 requires public school to display the Ten Commandments in each classroom. A similar bill in Louisiana was declared unconstitutional as it violated the principle of separation of church and state.
