Organizing things and I found a binder I had forgotten about. I was getting foil copies of all the cards I have previewed. Obviously I forgot towards the end. I need to finish this up! There is a 5th sheet with Leovold, Emissary of Trest and Grip of Phyrexian. I know there were some others too.

Does anyone know of software or an app that tracks where things are in a warehouse? I wouldn’t have to keep cards in order, just track what drawer/section a card is in, then just find it there. Seems easier than organizing cards and adding more cards in the right card catalog drawer every time.

Time for some end of the year stats! Played 153 Commander games this year! That is a 70% increase over last year. 42 were 3-player games, 90 were 4-player games, and 20 were 5-player games. Feb was the busiest month with 21 games. June was the slowest with 6. Won 58 times (far too many).

Played two Commander games last night. Lost a three-player game to a friend who rarely gets to win games, then lost a 5-player game where Atla Palani tried to do her thing, but couldn't get around all of the removal coming her way. Great night with friends!

I enjoyed the latest Extra Turns from @commandcast.bsky.social so much I recreated it for my group tonight! No Homelands packs, but it was still a good time! We did two games at once. The Naughty children were in the 3-player game! Since I knew what was coming, I made my choices randomly.

Some folks just know how to do lights.

We won our game tonight, 11-2. I picked up 8 goals and a couple assists. It was a fun night!

I got to do a little draft last night… Turns out U/W fliers are pretty damn good! 3-0, 6-0 for the draft!

We run a program called Guns, Drugs & Money. They bring in real guns (tiny to AK-47 size) They bring in real drugs (packaged like real drugs) They bring in a K9 who sniffs out drugs Next year they're bringing in all 3 types of K9s: drug, gun, and electronics sniffers. I'll save you a seat!

My lunch? Potato sausage soup and pumpkin loaf with maple streusel. My wife loves me.

Improved my Emiel deck today. Out: Aura Shards, Seedborn Muse, and Gylwain, Casting Director In: Loyal Unicorn, Prized Unicorn, and Brightmare Aura Shards and Seedborn Muse made Emiel oppressive while Gylwain forced me to look up the roles. I was always underwhelmed when I realized what he did.

As a nonbasics junkie, I used to use every nonbasic I had, then add basics to 40. There is just no good reason for this, so I am slowly going through decks to bring them all to at least 50% basic lands. Between nonbasic hate and games where opponents let me search for basics, it just makes sense.

How many games per year do you play each of your Commander decks? I get in roughly 9 games per year with each of my decks.

Just used to bathroom on the train. I think the woman who forced open the crappy locked door was more scarred than I was!

Unfortunately stopped at a draw bridge stuck open. Luckily I have no connection to make. I also have this beautiful view to gaze upon.

I opted to bring Grenzo, Muzzio, and Brudiclad to Unplugged. Between those and @andrewmagrini.bsky.social new Cube, I should be good for all things Magic this weekend!

Played our semifinal floor hockey game tonight in 35 degree weather against the #1 team in the league. I scored 3, including one with 3 seconds left to tie the game, 3-3. Overtime settled nothing so off to a shootout. Our goalie was invincible, stopping all 6 shooters. Our 6th player scores to win!

Running my biggest program of the year at work today. 111 people here and another 200+ online. So far, everything is going smoothly! And with last night’s Magic game going late, I’m running on 3 hours of sleep!

Played my 3rd ever game of Heat tonight. Ended up in second on a card flip! Was a great game!

Played 8 games of Zombie Dice with a very hyper 9 year old niece. I believe I’m 2-6. Apparently I don’t shake the dice hard enough (according to her).

Got in a great Commander game last night! Ragost did great things but ran out of steam at the end. My friend played my Gale deck and just would not be killed. The deck showed more resilience that it ever did when I played it! He was eventually taken out but fought valiantly to the end.

Played floor hockey and tied 1-1 tonight. The team we played was 6-0 and had 35 goals for and one goal against for the season so far. We played outstanding!

Building a new deck. Have added everything I think should go in. I’m at 157 cards. Who makes the cut? Step 1: Do I own the card. That goes a long way to getting into the deck. Looks like a nice afternoon hanging out in front of the card catalog!

The real issue from the announcement isn’t hybrid mana but separating Bracket 2 from precons. Make all future precons at Bracket 2 so new players can learn how to make decks better. Current precons are like giving folks a Lego set that is already built.

New Sock Day! Did you know National Parks have their own socks? I know @vorthosmike.bsky.social only has one quirk, but this combines two things that he loves. (This is what your daughter gets you when you wake up at 3:30 am to drive her to the airport so she can go hiking in Utah!)

There needs to be a website that reminds you about cons like this. CubeCon, Shoebox, Boston Cube Party, Commandfests, etc. List the confirmed date or expected date and a link to register. Too many of us forget about these great options until it is too late.

Is there a set of colored erasable markers that you use when creating tokens. I’m looking for a new set.

Got in a couple Commander games last night. Was attacked by 4 9/9 creatures on turn 5 which basically took Mazirek out of the game. Emiel came out next and utterly dominated the game. No one could deal with Seedborn Muse, so things got stupid fast. SM and Aura Shards will be coming out.

Played just the one @clovermtg.bsky.social game tonight and Wilson “earned” the victory. One of the other players chose Fynn, the Fangbearer and got poison counters on everyone. I played out a Viral Drake that added a couple poison to the Fynn player, then proliferated to victory.
