Bryce Miller will throw his first bullpen today since being sidelined with the oblique issue. With 2 weeks to go it seems impossible he would be ready for the start of the season but M's not saying that yet. Good step regardless. Also, Matt Brash could throw in a game as soon as today.

Kirby was all smiles after his outing partly because it went well but mostly because he used a PitchCom to call some of his own pitches. Estimated he called 8-10 pitches today. He said having it locks him in more. More control leads to more conviction, more confidence. And yes, Cal knows.

Dipoto with media said Brash should be ready to go for spring training. Best case scenario, a return 3rd week in April but acknowledged things can happen once rehabbing players start throwing in (spring) games. Troy Taylor suffered a lat strain last week, will go slow with him.
