South of Midnight first impressions (played up to chapter 6): absolutely blown away by the art and voice direction. Writing and performance on point. Combat is simple but picks up in intensity after the first hour or so. I can't speak enough on how much I love the worldbuilding and themes.

Hate being excited for a game, looking at its Steam page, and then seeing that it uses generative AI. Completely torpedoes my interest, no matter how cool it looked before. InZoi and Drive Beyond Horizons being two recent examples.

On that note, though, while I am overall a fan of the 2024 edition's formatting for statblocks, I do mourn the loss of natural language when describing actions.

Windblown has consumed my life. Art style and music are on point, combat system is rapid but never out of control. Plus you can be a pangolin. Still yet to tap into the multiplayer, but for an early access release I'm super impressed.

God I want to like that Liar's Bar game but the fact that it has uses AI voice acting turns me off it so bad. And from what I've seen, each character only has like two-three lines of dialogue? Just record it yourself my guy. Buckshot Roulette multiplayer can't come soon enough
