Husband, father, gamer, actuary, metalhead. Everything else is just BS.
Your regular reminder that Jesse Watters, in addition to looking like the exact guy who would cut you off and give you the finger from his BMW, is deeply weird.

I am not sure what WotC's editors are doing, but the new Ravenloft book suggests they are getting sloppy or farming out their jobs to others/AI. Enough careless errors and weird wording to make me notice, and I am not one to gaze upon my RPG books with the grammar police portion of my brain engaged.

The Fantasticar is a great example of how designing for EDH and the FIRE philosophy continue to make Eternal MtG formats less interesting. 30+ year-old mana bases with three month-old cards is the opposite of what I want to do, even while Old School and Premodern don't really float my boat either.

It looks like establishment Dems are crashing out (as the kids say) over a couple of *DEEPLY* blue districts moving left. This isn't some mass movement here, but you'd think it was the way they are reacting. Maybe pulling things a little bit left might be...good? Give it a try, see how it goes.

If I had a friend who was a relentless asshole (and not in a humorous way, I have several of those) who I stood by regardless of what he did, eventually people would start avoiding me too, because of the company that I am keeping. Yes, this is a metaphor.

It's cool that two excellent comedic horror shows came out at basically the same time. Despite the superficial similarities in theme and tone, they somehow feel totally different from one another. It's like
@bradguigar.com
says, ideas are bullshit. The execution of those ideas is what matters.

I got a chance to read the first _How to Survive Camping_ book by Bonnie Quinn. If you enjoy modern folk horror, it's a pretty good time. A bit clunky in spots, but worth a look, with an interesting and complex main character. I'll be ordering #2 soon and getting the others as they come out.

Another reminder: if there exists *any* class of people who don't have due process rights, then *nobody* actually has due process rights because the government can always just say you're in that class.

Cosigning this. The ease with which our monkey brains can hit the dopamine button is maybe not so great for our society. Also, on a more selfish note, I am really, REALLY sick of Draft Kings ads.
