I got my entire house to myself tonight. So naturally, I'm watching NBA highlights from the 00s on YouTube.

Only one word comes to mind when reflecting on Luka Dončić scoring 100 points within two games: special. He's a special talent, and watching him do this is something none of us should take for granted.

The Lakers grind out a win over the Heat, winning 134-126. Luka Dončić had 60 points, his highest point total as a Laker and second most of his career. They extended their winning streak to eight and will take on the Magic next on Friday.

Other games during this winning streak have been more dominant and against better teams, but given the context of being on the second night of a back-to-back and getting in so late for a road game, I'm really impressed with what the Lakers are doing tonight.

These are big minutes from Jake LaRavia. Dunked with authority, grabbing rebounds, and defending well, he's making his case to play in these kinds of games moving forward.

The Lakers scored just 22 points in the third and they now trail by three entering the fourth. Luka Dončić leads the team in scoring with 30, and LeBron James remains perfect with 21 points on 9-9 shooting. Can LA win this game and the season series? We are about to find out.

It feels greedy to ask more from Luka Dončić offensively, but it'd be really great if he were an 80% free throw shooter. His misses from the line always feel so loud.

The Brooklyn Nets just avoided having the lowest scoring first half in NBA history. That record is 22 points and the Nets scored 24 in the first two quarters against the Thunder.

Let's take one more look back at Lakers-Rockets before game two. I was really impressed with Ayton and Smart’s play especially down the stretch. They’ll need more of that tonight.

Austin Reaves steals, and a LeBron James flush ends it in Houston. What a great way to grind out a win with LA's offense dying in the fourth. The Lakers beat the Rockets 100-92 to even the season series. Wednesday is the rematch, and the winner will earn the tiebreaker.

Luka Dončić said he had goosebumps playing tonight with the Lakers crowd being so loud.

"We went into this game saying we're going to treat this like a playoff game" - JJ Redick after the Lakers' overtime win over the Nuggets.

JJ Redick said the Reaves free throw miss in regulation was intentional. He said originally he wanted the miss on the other side, but Reaves made the right call, and it worked.
