Update on candy jar amaryllis: it’s sent up buds, finally. Amaryllis in stones (in this house at least) tend to move slower than potted versions. These two aren’t the same variety but they arrived here at the same time.

My nephew came for a visit. The flight in was plagued with delay. The trip home started with losing his phone. I hope with every fiber of my being the hours in between were good ones and worth the trouble. It was so good to see him.

I was reading a conversation about KitKat bars in the US vs elsewhere. I’ve had US ones and Japanese ones and there wasn’t a massive difference. The problem with both was the underlying faint coconut aftertaste from cheap caramel.
