Claude Dispatch notifications popped out of nowhere a couple of times now. I just saved 80 kB of JS just by extracting inline SVGs from JSX into: - an icon spritesheet - .svg files to be used via <img> I recommend reading Breaking Up with SVG-in-JS, let’s up our SVG game and use it correctly. We don’t inline (non-critical) CSS, do we? It’s a separate file.

AFAIK keeping git worktrees inside my repo means that I have to: - git-ignore them - lint-ignore them - format-ignore them - TypeScript-ignore them - test-ignore them (all Vitest projects & Playwright/Cypress) - did I miss anything else? Is that worth it? For now my worktrees are playing outside.

@polypane.app has an interesting take on disabling cache. Unlike Chromium they don't make it so easy for you to disable it forever. They recommend that you use hard reload instead because caching bugs are bugs all the same! Alternatively you can disable cache: - until next time - forever 1/3

Does anyone know why tsconfing's "module": "preserve" is hardly being used? It seems like it very briefly blew up upon being released, and now all starters still appear to be preferring "es*" or "node*". I've never seen anyone using "preserve", only its cousin — "moduleResolution": "bundler".

I still can't get my head around this. Apple owns all of the hardware and the software, wasn't the point of that not to screw up video calls? One would assume that they've amassed quite a test suite for FaceTime by now.

vite-plugin-devtools-json still depends on Vite v7, and the maintainer isn't merging the v8 PR, it's been a month. @rich-harris.dev summarized the problem with the plugin itself really well — nobody wants to use it in the first place 😅 we have to.
