Anyone remember the Amish friendship starter craze of the 90s? People would bring it to work to give away. That stuff grew and grew and unless you use it constantly, or give away, you’d end up with a swimming pool full of it. You could make all sorts of baked goods from it. 🍜🍽️

This is Mrs. Florence Bell, the first nurse to go to the Royal Veterinary College of London. This is a cigarette card from my collection and in the info about her on the back it says “the more she sees of humans, the better she likes animals”. 1938.
