Does anyone else have trouble with Google Docs sometimes accepting accented letters (ã ó etc.) via the push and hold method, and sometimes just...not? It's so bizarre how randomly it decides it's sometimes just not having it at all

The most heart-breaking injuries are the ones that occur in the World Cup warmup games, just days away from the tournament itself. Abde Ezzalzouli (Morocco) sprained his knee against Norway yesterday and looks set to be out for 4 weeks. Imagine how he's feeling now...💔

Daniel Peretz signing permanently for Southampton, after spygate, and saying "we go again" is weirdly funny to me. Fantastic signing btw. About €8m for what was arguably the best GK in the Championship from January onward. Thought he'd end up in a top tier.

the World Cup version of 82-0 is fun on its own but it's especially fun because you can build a team with Diego Maradona, Xavi, and Virgil van Dijk and have it fall just short in the final because of Alexi Lalas

Sadly for Fulham, Marco Silva to Benfica felt obvious the moment Florentino Pérez set his sights on José Mourinho. A top coach whose quality they will struggle to replace

Delighted to see 18-year-old Lucas Herrington make the Australia World Cup squad. Has been brilliant this season for Colorado Rapids. Had my 🤞 he'd make it.

There’s something quite nice about the timing of the parade really. Forces fans to confront the disappointment of the final, process the emotions, then immediately focus on the rich positives of what was still an exceptional campaign. Good for Eze and Gabriel to get the adulation too.

Pretty stunned Nuno Espírito Santo is sticking around at West Ham in the Championship -- if only because appointing club legend Scott Parker for the promotion charge would have been the single most obvious idea anyone has ever come up with. And West Ham don't do complex ideas.

Garner, Bowen, Shaw, Van Dijk and Truffert made it. Rogers didn't, which is a shame, but also entirely understandable.

Pep leaving City is a massive opportunity for everyone else. His super power was creating an incredibly high floor, meaning they never dipped out of the top 4. A post-Pep City have to be more fallible and prone to the low points others have all experienced.

I know there’s a lot going on in the Premier League right now, but Aston Villa finishing fourth and winning the Europa League is very, very impressive. 14 other PL clubs had a higher net spend than them this season. They’re ninth in the PL for transfer fees paid for their total squad.

Villa have sent some incredibly talented XIs to the Etihad only to lose year after year. Appreciate this wasn’t really a real game, but THIS XI will go down as winners - and that is hilarious

Fair enough thoughts. Playing devil's advocate: We all love Wharton but 2 intl managers have been cold on him. Does his style not suit slower intl play? Spence covers both flanks, crucial given James + Tino are so injury prone (but Spence is inj!) Tuchel loves Burn. Only room for 1 Big Dude? 1/2

My tepid reaction to the England squad: I’m pleased Tuchel has left out the big names that do not fit the style he has implemented (Palmer, Foden). Get the sideshow out of the way now. I’m stunned James Garner (“our mini Valverde”) didn’t make it, and surprised MGW missed the cut too.
