Today as part of our storytelling challenge for Reading Schools Week Primary 2/1 worked in trios to make some new story sacks with toys and activities related to their chosen story. They are looking forward to taking them home to share with their families.

A busy week in Primary 2/1. Lots of enjoying stories, exploring tartan patterns and finally the wedding of Stripy and Fluffy on Friday was the highlight of the week!

P5/4/3, for spelling, the children used a multi-sensory approach to practise their words, engaging visual, auditory and kinaesthetic strategies to support learning.

For PE P5/4/3 children are learning how to play tennis which helps develop accuracy, focus, and control.

We learned about discrimination by playing human noughts and crosses!

*NURSERY* Our wee ones have shown an interest in making their own ‘Stick Man’ in the nursery garden this week. We followed this interest and we took our own stick men with us on Forest Friday! 🌳 #childled

For our drama lesson we are learning to use different techniques, like freeze frame and hot seat to help the children understand the character’s choices, thoughts and feelings.

We are learning to use the bus stop method in division to help us divide a 2 digit number by 1 digit. Great work today!

We are learning to understand and use synonym. The children in P5/4/3 showed an excellent understanding of today’s lesson benefiting from working in pairs and small groups to brainstorm ideas.

Tonight I had the privilege of listening to Mrs Heggie who had been asked to present her Froebel project - Nurture with Nature Growing the seeds of Love.
