I'm a "book in advance" type of person when I can be, I like to know the plan etc. However, I always check last minute if I can book the same room right before. Because hotel pricing makes 0 sense, and fluctuates CONSTANTLY. Booking further out doesn't always mean cheaper. Planes and trains too!
