I wrapped the story in Donkey Kong Bananza yesterday. It is Nintendo in its finest form. It innovates on the 3D platforming genre meaningfully with voxel tech while honouring every era of Donkey Kong — from the arcade to Rare Ware to Retro Studios. What a video game. 🍌

Crazy to think that 10 years ago today I was seated for Xbox’s E3 2015 press conference. It was one of the better Xbox conferences, with backward compatibility, the Xbox Elite controller and a number of massive game reveals from Sea of Thieves to Gears 4 all stealing the show.

This Xbox software renaissance is fuelled by its best, most competitive era being made accessible and I’m loving it.

DOOM: The Dark Ages is the most fun I’ve had with a shooter in a long time. It’s in-your-face, brutal and reminiscent of an era in gaming when you didn’t need much more than a weapon, an enemy and a direction to rip and tear through. This is one hell of a video game.

These are the the 3 best-selling games on the Nintendo Switch. IMO, they’re also franchises you want on the Nintendo Switch 2 asap. They’re evergreen so they’ll sell for the system’s entire lifecycle. Every year that goes by without an appearance is millions of missed sales.

After playing Nintendo Switch 2 for a few hours, I’m legitimately so excited for the launch in a few weeks. It’s such a worthwhile upgrade to the current hardware and the lineup of games in the first 6 months (so far) is incredible.

It’s hard to believe that Super Smash Bros. made its debut on Nintendo 64 in North America 26 years ago today. 🎉 I can’t wait to see what Nintendo has up its sleeve for the next entry on Nintendo Switch 2.

Maybe the real Nintendo Switch 2 are the friends we made along the way.

I would go so far as to say that there is significant demand for Nintendo Switch 2.
