Filmmaker, writer and researcher with a thing about commons and spooky stuff
Join me, Leah Gordon and Stephen Ellcock at Bristol's Bookhaus on November 4th. They'll be talking about their vitally relevant new book exploring art, enclosure and common land. Personally I can't wait to get my hands on a copy. Please share!

Fascinating research by Rick Schulting et. al, that adds traction to the possibility that the Later Neo/Chalco/BA in these islands may not have been as halcyon-like an existence as once believed.

All The Haunts Be Ours Vol.2 gave me something to look forward to back in the UK. The Enchanted is more short story than feature film and like all great weird stories remains deliberately obtuse to the end. The killer synth soundtrack is a bonus.

Anti-fascist Christmas cards at the Graphics Museum, Stavanger. Red bobble hats were a symbol of resistance during Nazi occupation of Norway, and were banned; these cards, while also illegal, were insanely popular.

Hello new/ old acquaintances and friends - Iām on the home stretch of a PhD which started off with making slow cinema documentaries and has ended with writing a folk horror screenplay. Itās all still about common land though. Honest!

An inspired and inspiring screening of The Red Shoes at Exeter Cathedral courtesy of Exeter Phoenix. Itās a film thatās been in the DNA of rule breaking cinema since 1948 and I canāt wait to see it again.
