We made major strides for LGBTQ+ rights in Colorado’s 2025 legislative session! HB 25-1109 helps ensure trans and non-binary Coloradans are honored in death by requiring individuals filling out death certificates to use identifying documents to determine their gender.

One more step toward enacting some critical legal protections for trans Coloradans.

The Kelly Loving Act (HB25-1312) is being heard in the Colorado Senate right now. It is moving closer to becoming law in Colorado. This bill significantly advances legal protections for trans people and is named for Kelly Loving, a trans woman who was killed in the Club Q shooting.

We are proud to support HB25-1312, a critical step forward in protecting and affirming the rights of trans Coloradans. We’re grateful for the authors’ partnership and proud to stand with them in this fight. We will continue to work with them as the bill moves forward.
