Yesterday I had an operation on the bad ankle. The surgeon fished out the free floating bits of bone (seen below) and had a good look at the state of the joint. He didn't end up doing any bone shaving while he was in there, so I don't have to have a full on cast at least

Every time I visit Maidan Nezalezhnosti, the number of flags has increased. It's now spread even further into the area, with footpaths forming between lines of flags. Each flag represents a soldier who gave their life to protect Ukraine

It's been a busy week for bird wrangling! I've been looking after a couple of ducklings for the past month who have just gone for a soft release. Had to fish a waterlogged seagull out of a pond. Currently, I have a baby dove who's unfortunately showing signs of pigeon pox
