Chasing visibility in LLM/AI is a suckers game and any SEO chasing .21% of traffic share seriously needs to consider if time is well spent. Not to mention VISIBILITY IS RANDOM so unlike Search even when you reach the VISIBILITY goal it often is gone forever shortly after. Results are UNSUSTAINABLE!

Some very good points about using AI to replace junior SEOs. Part of the problem is that there is no SEO apprenticeship as most agencies don't have a plan for training and they don't appreciate juniors because often they leave seeking employment where they learn new skills cuz of no advancement ops

Agree the Utility Gap is a thing. IMO, page structure like <headings><p><lists><tables> etc. will help "closing the gap" all were the first elements used as structured data before schema so are machine readable to some extent. These are already in many SEO's optimization toolbox

Pretty much my SEO mindset from the first day partially because in the early days that's all we really had to go on. I never went as far as doing "anything". I wouldn't do anything that was easy for SE to detect & penalize. No harm... no foul. No negative repercussions

After HCU there is a good argument for the same being true for focusing on a topic for a website. There are also clues in the Google leaked doc where there is clear indication the original topic of a site is tracked. IMO, Narrow focus with high level of expertise is a key to a website's success!
