Hot Gibs fall for Fake Zombie Movie Casting

In 1995 these #Aconophora compressa, lantana plant/tree hoppers, were released as biocontrol for the introduced weed #Lantana camara. So much food, and good parental care means theres so so many now. and they have been discovered on some qld native species :/ 1/2

Today I saw a lot of once were spiders. Most were very small. But some were the sort of kraken gibs I do so enjoy in #zombie spiders :) 2 examples from the lantana

You ever turn on a light, late at night, and catch a #Badumna insignis house spider sneaking a drink of water? Dehydration is a big risk for most spiders inside houses

I am very poorly today and very stupid and.... the #ticks got me pretty good today tbh. I do try to freeze them all before removal, but this one was removed alive for a pic. I get bit by things, and like, it happens, but ticks just ruin the day fr. anyway freeze kill, and remove.

The tiny fungi #Nectria #pseudotrichia loves the bush regen soldiers. It is always eager to leap onto the skin of the weeds they slay and leave them fuzzy with tiny life.

Sometimes people ask me, "Are you going to take photos of every little stick or leaf you see?". And honestly the answer is decided by who is running the schedule. Because if its me, then yes, yes I am. You guys go ahead.

You would think walking into a big scary spiders web and finding the spider on your arm would be dangerous, but its actually only really dangerous for the spider. They are very easy to injure, so you need to take a lot of care with. I was keeping eye on stinging trees and forgot was even there tbh
