Nah, this is bollocks. Using machine learning tools as a concept artist, is still creating GenAI concept art. The game will have AI-influenced components.

They'll probably be using both GenAI and real concept art, as well as need artists to touch up the GenAI art by hand. Of course, any in-game assets will potentially be based on plagiarised GenAI concept art.

Casey Hudson needs to come out as anti-GenAI and tell us the new Old Republic game will be free of that blight. He won't though because I suspect it'll be full of the GenAI blight. A lot of games that were recently announced will be. Let's be honest.

I can guarantee the WolfHearts and Lualitys of this world will give the GenAI a free pass.
