Her first impulse at Yosemite Falls is to pose for his camera, deaf to the roaring water. "That’s it," I whisper—that’s what we’re not. Over half of the submissions we receive at YFP treat nature as backdrop—a stage for human desire, human drama, human desecration. At YFP, we listen to the roar.

Yawning Fox Press is a micro-press devoted to work that lives at the boundary between the human world and the more-than-human one. We publish work with a finely-tuned ear and a vivid imagination to remind us that the world is larger, stranger, and more astonishing than we might like to believe.
