FADE TO BLACK Purdue 78 - Iowa 57 PU dominated the #Hawkeyes today; very physical contest; UI poor shooting all around, badly out-rebounded, lacked bench points - a bad combo that isn't going to win many games. Stirtz had an off-day and no one really stepped up to fill in. Huskers on Tuesday at CHA.

UW cut UI's lead to 4 with 1:36 left - then the Hawks outscored the Huskies 7-2 to close out the game. #15 Iowa improves to 19-5, 10-3; #25 UW drops to 18-7, 8-6.

MBB: FADE TO BLACK Maryland 77 - Iowa 70 The #Hawkeyes 6-game win streak is over; shooting was off all night; can argue that UI lost this the last few minutes in the 1H & never fully recovered. Kept it close but no cigar. Bad loss to a team that was 2-10 in #B1G play even though it was on the road.

FADE TO BLACK Minnesota 91 - Iowa 85 "Houston - We have a problem." 3rd straight loss. 3rd straight game where the #Hawkeyes were often not competitive. Final score is deceiving. Defense lacking (again). Team just looks discombobulated. UI now drops to 18-5, 9-3. Bad streak at this point.

FADE TO BLACK...& GOLD Iowa 84 - Oregon 66 #Hawkeyes dominate a mediocre Ducks team on the #B1G Road where nothing is ever easy (especially on the West Coast). UI did most things well tonight - and especially dominant in the paint. 4th win in a row: Hawks improve to 16-5, 6-4. Washington is next.

FADE TO BLACK UCLA 88 - Iowa 65 Back-to-back West Coast Beatdowns put a dent in the feel-good #Hawkeyes season - not even close to competetive in either contest & now face must-win games at CHA if they want to remain in #B1G contention vs. Minnesota & Washington. Long list of issues vs. UCLA & USC.

The #Hawkeyes finished better than they played most of the game - and also finished the 1st Half on a 15-4 run. But those were about the only two "bright spots". Things just looked discombobulated for most of the game. Going to take a terrific effort to beat UCLA on Sunday. UI drops to 18-3, 9-1.

A couple times one of them said stuff that didn’t even happen. Once she said “another empty possession for Iowa” and I was like “wait wasn’t that a gorgeous pass from Chat to Journey for a bucket?” 😂

If we never hear from these two clowns again, it will be too soon. One thing to be obviously biased. Another to not even know what's happening on the floor (several times).
