The National Cancer Institute (part of NIH) released new guidelines for "controversial, high-profile or sensitive" keywords that require "review prior to publication" if included in a product or materials. Keywords include abortion, obesity, and peanut allergies.

It can't engage in good faith with ethical issues, because it has no faith, principles or values. It can't interpret, contextualise or reflect, because it has no stake, perspective or location from which to offer these things. It can't deal with the latent or implicit. 11/13

Analysis identifies and makes sense of patterns. Patterns require interpretation; presentation of those patterns requires contextualisation. Both of these require the author to be *located in the work*. 9/13

If you don't know what to write, my suggestion is always to pretend you're on the phone with a friend and they want to know what you're looking at. How would you let them know the vibe of the image you're looking at? What would let them understand why *that* specific image is in that specific post?
