Yesterday our Pupil Voice Officers spent time unpicking what we would see, hear and feel in school if we offer excellent conditions for everyone to use their voice. I am delighted with what they have come up with and just love that they have made links to the wellbeing indicators. 🥰

Today,for @sngaidhlig.bsky.social P6 & P7 explored different #Gaelic greetings.They explored some words we use in English which originated from Gaelic, like smashing & sporran. They explored the Gaelic alphabet, which only has 18 letters,& even had time for singing!Looking forward to day 2!

We were lucky to be awarded a grant from @sngaidhlig.bsky.social to employ a tutor to come & work with P6 and P7 this week. We will be learning about #Gaelic language and culture, making banners with key vocabulary to share in our community.We will be showcasing our work to family on Friday.

Our Reading Champs organised a book sale today as part of our #ReadingSchoolsWeek celebrations. They raised an amazing £80 for our library developments! 👏

Muirtown has been very active with its Gaelic learning since the beginning of the 1+2 language initiative, which aims to provide all children with the opportunity to learn two additional languages in their primary years.
