Arguably, the greatest advance in healthcare in the past 100 years was the widespread vaccination of children.

HPV is contagious & is associated with >90% cervical & anal cancer 70% vaginal & vulvar cancer 60-70% oropharyngeal cancer 60% penile cancer Over 46,000 HPV associated cancers occur each year in the US alone. But the good news is ✨Vaccination Works✨

The "track marks" you reported on my patient's arm are from all the times her mother begged you to call the IV team but was ignored.

"The child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth" We had a great talk at our weekly

#SickleCell
disease is more than anemia and pain - it is a disease of premature organ failure and death. It causes unpredictable suffering in one of the most vulnerable populations in the United States.

When a patient living with
#SickleCell
disease hits the ER with pain, they should get pain meds IMMEDIATELY. A hefty first dose of pain meds can result in better outcomes. They do not need your narrative, suspicion or discrimination. They need your help. Be a champion for them.
