As a landowner who works with farmers who are all trying to balance income, access, rewilding, etc I always love people trying to genuinely discuss these complicated topics without getting stuck into Culture Wars. Ask me anything if you’re curious, or google Our Land to see if it’s coming to you.

Effi o Blaenau hits screens in June. Beautifully shot, a fierce central performance. Marc Evans has been prolific in Welsh filmmaking, but this is closest to House of America, a film that made me and my friends feel seen amongst Cool Cymru bluster. Go see it!

What a relief! A seismic win for decent, progressive politics. Surely everyone in Gorton and Denton deserves a day off for successfully fending off Farage/Goodwin.

In an incredibly dark time for politics and politicians, it’s just immensely refreshing to see someone who clearly believes he can bring joy and hope to others during his time in office. It’s such a rare thing.

A New Kind of Wilderness is one of the most moving docs I have seen in years - a tale of grief, alternative living and the challenge of holding onto your ideals. And the Payne family’s choice to go off grid chimed with my own odd, albeit more suburban childhood.

Another of last night’s Gotham winners doubling down. I’ve said it before: the Academy has to tweak their entry system so they aren’t repeatedly stymied by national selection committees.
