Building Gunpla is an exercise in patience and focus. Building Gunpla either children will stretch both of those to the absolute limits. My Kids HGs are almost complete. Just weapons and peripherals. It only took 5 hrs. I’m beat. 😮‍💨

Spent the morning with my kids at a trampoline park and the evening taking my kids to a new D&D game with people they’ve never met. I’ve come to the conclusion that adults need to start just asking people to be friends like kids do. Cause that shit works.

Started Red Gundam a few days ago. Just finished the body. Still need to build the weapons, shield and bits. It’s a really cool bills but these tiny ass decals that don’t stay put will be the death of me.

The bill has been handled. The heat is still on. I’m out of the pickle, but still taking on new projects so I don’t end up right back there in April.

Okay Affinity, here we go. Kicking off a new layout project and trying to learn this software so I can tell Adobe to fuck right the hell off. There's a few features I miss, but so far I really like it.

I love doing layout and publishing. And I love games. At face value TTRPGs are such an interesting market but the reality is that the vast majority will never be commercially successful. And that’s okay. Art doesn’t need to be driven by profit. But I can’t help but wonder…

About halfway through this watch through of Zeta Gundam and I’m struck by how ahead of its time this show is. Tomino took the strong women from Gundam and doubled the amount. There’s little no sexualization, they mostly all have decent depth, and they are treated as capable pilots

We’re so close to done on the core rule book I can taste it! I wanna say it’ll be ready for full proof this week, but I don’t wanna jinx it 😜

I was today years old when I found out there was a Gundam 00 stage play. And you have to imagine all of the actual Mobile Suits because they just use scaffolding on wheels pushed around by stage hands for the props. I kinda need to find a way to watch this! youtu.be/y4LW2lE3jDI?...

Trying to wrap up Shadows Over Sol 2e this week. All the styles are set. All the copy is formatted. All the cross references are linked. All that’s left is to: •finish adding illustrations • adjust page flow • fix type errors • create table of contents • design cover Alright. Let’s do this!

I may have to finally ditch adobe after I finish this round of projects. They’ve been shitty forever, and is stupid expensive, but I’ve been using it since 1999. My old ass is kinda intimidated by the idea of learning new software that may not have all the features I use in my workflow.

Torn between the need to post to drum up some desperately needed work, and the awareness that I don’t have the spoons to be on social right now without mentally spiraling from world events. Random reposts and skeets like this are all I got in me right now. Still here and still open for work tho.

I just created a rough, living, marketing plan on @obsidian.md and it feels really good. Everything is nice an organized and modular so I can iterate and keep track of everything and keep modifying it. I've been sleeping on this software!
