Yesterday’s Newquay Championships marked the end of a memorable gig rowing season. A great 2nd place in our first round race, followed by a hard-fought 4th in the quarter finals. Ready for some time away from the boat, but so proud to have rowed with this brilliant young (annoyingly young!) crew.

People who mark their emails as ‘Urgent’, when they are anything but, can honestly just do one!

Spending all my time either playing this thing or marvelling at its beauty.

Honestly so proud of this lot. We won the Open Shield at the Brixham Vets Championships yesterday. I wouldn’t usually bang on - but I was the only true vet (over 40) in the boat. The rest of our crew comprised 2 super vets (50+) and 3 masters (60+), including an 83 year old. Chuffed.

I don’t get to as many gigs as I’d like to these days, so two in one week is very unusual! Last night was Caroline, in a church in Falmouth. An incredible show from a quite extraordinary band.

MJ Lenderman in Bristol last night. Absolutely banging nearly 2 hour set, and great to see a mid-week sell out crowd so up for it.
