I am sick for the first time since the COVID pandemic started. I don't have COVID based on the tests, but whatever I do have sucks. 5 years of constantly wearing a mask indoors (except when eating) and vaccinations did help. I don't know how I got this, but I am grateful it wasn't the worse option.

Okay, let's be real though, no one cared before COVID either. Years ago, I did work-study at one of the offices in my college and one of the FTE came in sick. I yelled at her to go home because she had paid sick days but I (a student who couldn't afford to be sick) did not. She didn't care.

I lived in Toronto for 17 years and before that I was travelling to Toronto regularly (I lived in the GTA before TO). I would regularly get "it's so unsafe" etc. from people who never even lived there. Honestly, I was safer walking downtown at 3am than I was anywhere else.

Stop seeing other TTRPG creators as threats to your success. There's room for everyone in this space. The creator doing similar work to you? That's your natural ally, not your enemy. Build bridges, not walls.
