Accidental Renaissance

Opted to just make a cloak so I don’t freeze camping next week. Really didn’t want to spend any money haha. Sacrificed old projects and used scrap wool fabric I had kicking around! Came out pretty cool and only took me a couple of hours.

Phew!! Finally settled on some pants ( and boots) for Velocity! Design work is so tricky for me. Had to remind my self I would be wearing this over a fursuit. So I had to keep in mind how warm it’s gonna be with clothes over fur. That’s when it hit me, I could just make pants out of mesh!

Thinking about camping in like 9 days has me so EXCITED. Can’t wait

I picked purple for the highlights on Velocity’s jacket thinking, surely they’ll be the easy to find…nope lol it’s all royal purple when I want a bluer purple…hmm maybe I can use the iridescent purple fabric instead.

I’m that kind of artist that looks for niche materials for my projects. I’ll spend hours gazing at various textiles & hardware. Now I could probably just get away with like, cotton, but my ass is like “ what if I used bull denim & selvedge japanese denim,showcasing the different weave structure??!”

Was up late designing stuff for velocity. Getting close with his clothes. I keep getting more & more ideas. One is I want to design a logo for him that he can wear on his clothes. Kept thinking maybe he’s part of a team. Then I can add a number to show his rank. He’s such a fun character to ponder

Waiting for clay to warm up so decided to push around colors. Trying to decide on clothing/props colors so I can order materials. Really digging the teal. I loved the pink but I think since he’s already a colorful character his clothing should be more muted.

Just need to finish a few more parts for Velocity’s head and I can FINALLY start gluing!! Woo! Mainly just the mouth ( teeth, tongue etc) then it’s just final assembly. Sooo incredibly excited

3 years ago I made the best decision of my life. I was so incredibly scared, but I knew I had to try. I had to know. I had hope for change, anything had to be better. Still, I never thought I’d ever be so happy inside and out then I am today. I finally feel like myself. Happy 3 years of being on T 🏳️‍⚧️

This is my favorite painting I’ve ever done. I painted it 3 years ago and I still have it as my phone background. Now that I have the ability to use sublimation I am pondering what I could put this image on. It means so much to me, I am like…why be limited to only one thing.

Now I want to sub dye everything. I’ve grown hungry with powerrrr. Gazing at art I’ve done and wondering if a shirt needs a cool design haha

This metallic epoxy I added to velocity’s nose just makes me want to make metallic armor for him even more ughhh lol

Getting those feelings to work on Rakule again…really want to sculpt his face. Keep imaging it here and there. Animals are fun but something about human faces I REALLY love sculpting.

Hmm if I use an epoxy resin as a top coat it’ll take days to set, oh I know let me use UV resin! Let me just check the forecast real quick ….ah sooo epoxy it is lmao

Getting the itch for tech wear clothing again. I started to really get into it a couple of years ago then stopped cause my body was changing too much. Now that I’ve been the same size for a while I am starting to gaze at clothing again 👀 also blame Velocity haha

I can’t deny how good it feels to be inspired AND driven to create. I often would get little burst of inspiration but they’d fizzle out before I could act on it. Lately it’s been unstoppable 💪🏻!!

Was inspired to draw tonight. Mostly just having fun with colors and shapes. WIP for now as I am thinking I’ll turn this into a full piece.

Hell yeah, opted to try a metallic purple for Velocity’s claws. They came out so sick! These are his foot claws.

I bought some cute halloweeny themed bedding and some other stuff, course the one thing I was excited for got delayed ( the blanket) ; ; least the cute pillow cases arrived!!

Never fails- casting resin, pouring epoxy, that final coat to your project…a fly will appear and land right in it. Swear I could be in a vacuum in space, and one will appear.

Looking at cool hardware for clothing and I am being reminded by all the cool fursuit clothing I wanted to make ages ago. Maybe Velocity will spark that desire again

Cast Velocities eyes with some old epoxy and look at these cool as heck bubbles. I’ll be cutting that part away so it’s not a big deal but, so rad I had to share.
