I just finished the sticker design for this year's #Zodiac #animal! It's a #PrzewalskisHorse, an endgangered Mongolian #horse being saved through conservation efforts that include cooperative breeding programs in zoos across the country. Last year, several zoos had foals born in their care. (1/2)

Today we had our annual goal setting session! I fell short of some goals in 2025 for reasons beyond control, but managed to meet a few important ones. This year, I'm setting goals that are a little more reachable. I'm still happy with how I came out & am looking forward to 2026. Happy New Year!

#Pinktober2025 Day 28: #WesternBlackRhinoceros This species of #Rhinoceros was endemic to #Africa and was quite common for a time. Its horn was highly sought after for various purposes and poaching of the #rhino eventually led to it being completely wiped out. It was declared extinct in 2011.

#Pinktober2025 Day 26 (a day late): #JavanTiger This #tiger lived on the island of #Java & was smaller than most other Asian tigers. Several factors contributed to its demise, including habitat loss, loss of prey species to disease & poisoning, & overhunting. It was declared extinct in 2008.

#Pinktober2025 Day 25: #SchomburgksDeer This #deer species was endemic to #Thailand and lived in herds of one male, several females, and their young, in swampy plains. They went extinct in 1938 due to excessive hunting and habitat loss from the increase of rice trade.

#Pinktober2025 Day 24: #RoundIslandBurrowingBoa This burrowing #boa is a species of #snake that inhabited the island of #Mauritius in an extremely small range of forested habitat. It was heavily persecuted by early settlers and its habitat destroyed, and eventually went extinct in the late 1900s.
