I do wonder what kind of workplace protection loopholes there must be in order to allow cigar bars to legally exist. In what other industry can your employer explicitly expose you to carcinogens for your entire shift without, like, requiring safety equipment about it?

Everyone I’ve talked to so far in Minnesota has been genuinely extremely kind, love it when a place lives up to a cultural stereotype

I think I am experiencing what is known as “the summertime blues”

Maturity is liking the Mick songs (emotional subtlety, artistic refinement) more than the Joe songs (hamfisted political sincerity, equally hamfisted guitar) but wisdom is liking the Joe songs better (moral clarity, return to beginner’s mind)
