Please do not underestimate issues caused by neurodivergence. I know too many people who have dropped through the cracks, some with tragic consequences. They just could not cope. People with autism are supposed to navigate this just to get a test? Unfit for purpose

Bold reform is needed but unless there is investment, accountability and system-wide inclusion, EHCPs will remain both essential and overstretched - leaving children in legal limbo, when they should be in schools that can meet their needs as a matter of course.

Are EHCPs really driving the SEND crisis?
Education, health and care plans have been blamed for an unsustainable rise in special educational needs in schools, but would scrapping or limiting these plans fix the problem?

Great work by Dr Hayley Smith and Dr Natasha Holden. We hope the Government are influenced by them and the psychologists that have signed the petition.
