In today's spotlight: precommit 🪝 A pre-commit hook is like a checkpoint. If the hook finds a problem, it stops the commit and tells you what to fix. In #rstats, you can add pre-commit hooks with precommit 📦. Built on the pre-commit framework it provides useful hooks specifically for R.

First week of my maternity leave 🤗 And it’s not a short one: I’m taking 12 months! Not a “standard” thing to do in the Netherlands, where you get 16 weeks (minimum) or more depending on your employer. But I have the opportunity to do so now and I’m going to grab it. Time for family 💙.

I have been playing around with brand.yml and Quarto 1.6 today 😎. As it happens I was making a revealjs presentation and with brand.yml, I could get rid of much of my custom SCSS, which is nice! I'm sooo looking forward to #rstats and Shiny for R support 😻

Why do I always choose wrong when using URLs in #markdown 😭 (Text)[url] is always my first choice, but of course, wrong [Text](url) is consequently my second choice, and correct, but somehow feels wrong 🙈
