On the flipside, Nucleous is a pretty nice upgrade from Magneous, a toy I already thought was more than decent. The colors are striking and the alt mode is crazy good, probably one of the gnarliest cars in recent years. I think it might roll better than Magneous too, though I might be misremembering

Energon’s combiners don’t really grab me, and the fiction especially doesn’t help cuz they’re by far the most superfluous characters in the show’s already overstuffed cast, but Barricade had a cool alt mode and someone was selling it at can’t-regret pricing so here we are.

Last but maybe sorta least in some areas, it’s Buzzworthy Studio Bumblebee Series 86 whatever the fuck Cliffjumper. This one’s also in the same “goes for way too much on the aftermarket” camp as Airazor, but I managed to get this one for a relative steal. Like ER Cliff, but actually looks good

Probably the least whelming toy of the day, it’s Rollbar, also from ROTF. Bot mode is somewhat perfunctory, with somewhat restricted articulation and a jarring Optimus-like face, but everything feels tight and solid, and you can finagle some poses out of him.

Next up is Ransack from the Revenge of the Fallen toyline. This is my first time handling a Bayverse toy and oh no, he’s fantastic. The bot’s a ramshackle old geezer type, and frankly isn’t very stable, but that’s kind of perfect? He’s an old biplane, of course he’s gonna be rough.

Ok let’s dive into the mail bag. First up, that ever-elusive-for-a-decent-price mainline ROTB Airazor. Bot mode looks fantastic and dynamic. This is maybe the best Airazor has looked… ever? Which I think is saying a lot when I generally dislike the ROTB Maximal designs.
