Serving others is at the heart of Christian faith. Across the Bible, believers are called to love their neighbour, stand with the vulnerable and work for justice. But what does that look like in practice?

In Dagoretti, an urban farming movement is driving change. With the support of our partner Beacon of Hope, families are building reliable incomes by growing their own produce, even in the smallest spaces.

Three years ago, conflict engulfed Sudan. Today, 33.7 million people are living through one of the world's most devastating and most overlooked humanitarian crises. On the third anniversary of the conflict, we joined eleven charities to deliver a petition to the UK Government.

The hope of the resurrection doesn’t end with Easter Sunday. It continues today and always. It’s a hope that does not fade with time but stays with us. It shapes how we see the world and reminds us that God is still at work. Even in the darkest times - resilience, renewal and hope can still rise.

‘He is not here, for he has been raised’ (Matthew 28:6) As we rejoice in new life and renewal, we remember that even in the midst of hardship, hope remains. The challenges you face today are real but they’re not the end. There’s always the promise of new beginnings.

This Good Friday, we remember Jesus’ suffering and the hope it brings. We see that suffering today in communities facing hunger, conflict, injustice and poverty around the world.

'I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another.’ (John 13:34) Today is Holy Thursday. This special moment is a reminder of when Jesus washed the feet of his disciples. He chose to serve others.

The installation of the first woman Archbishop of Canterbury is a powerful and hopeful moment for the Church of England, the Anglican Communion and the wider Christian family. As a former Chair of Christian Aid, we’re especially proud to see Archbishop Sarah step into this role.

Lent is so much more than just giving up chocolate. It's shaped by three practices that help turn faith into action - prayer, fasting and almsgiving. Rooted in Jesus’ teachings in Matthew 6:1-18, Lent invites us to look beyond ourselves to notice the needs of others and to grow in faith.

Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) is a violation of women’s and girls’ human rights. FGM, also known as female genital cutting or female is the partial or full cutting of a girl’s clitoris and labia, for non-medical reasons. There are no health benefits to FGM. #EndFGM

🚨When violence reached her village in DRC, Chance faced an impossible choice. Soldiers had looted her shop and terrorised her neighbours. She knew she had to flee – or risk her life and her children’s.

At least 4 babies out of every 100 born will tragically die before their 1st birthday in the DRC. For mothers every day is a battle to protect their children from hunger, disease & conflict. Families are doing everything they can to survive—yet the odds are stacked against them.

Conflict escalates hunger & hunger escalates conflict. In the DRC nearly 1/4 of people are facing hunger. This is one of the largest global hunger crises of our time.

Violence in the DRC is driving one of the world’s most severe & most overlooked humanitarian crises. Millions have been caught in a cycle of conflict & displacement, forced to flee each time losing their homes, livelihoods & sense of safety they’ve worked hard to rebuild.

Imagine having these challenges as a parent. That's what families in Gaza are facing on a daily basis. ‘We survive on whatever we can find - mostly lentils, rice & bread when flour is available. Fresh vegetables or fruit are rare treasures.’ - Ranin, 26 year old mother in Gaza.

When Reham’s family fled last month when Israeli tanks were at the doorstep, she feared her home would be turned to rubble. This is what is left of it amid a sea of destruction.

We welcome the news Israel & Hamas have agreed to a ceasefire in Gaza. It offers the people in Gaza respite from the relentless bombardment, displacement & deprivation. This is good news for the hostages while also recognising the massive scale of aid that is now needed in Gaza.

The conflict in Gaza has taken a devastating toll on the people in Gaza. We continue our call on the int. community to do everything in its power to allow aid into Gaza, halt its brutal military campaign & implement a ceasefire to end the suffering & see the hostages released.

Since the Nakba in 1948, the Palestinian story has been defined by displacement & the struggle to return home. Millions of Palestinians remain refugees, living in the oPt & across the Middle East. Often denied basic human rights, like work restrictions in Lebanon.

As schools go back around the UK we can’t forget the over 650,000 children in Gaza who aren’t able to access education. ‘Previously we were proud that there was no single illiterate child in Gaza, now we are talking about an entire illiterate generation.’ - Christian Aid partner

Stop starving Gaza. We continue our #FastForGaza because the Israeli gov continues to use starvation as a weapon of war. Palestinians are starving. Starvation is a war crime under international law. And silence is complicity.

Everyday, ordinary Palestinians and Israelis stand up for dignity, equality and a just peace, often at great cost. As Christians, and people of faith, we cannot turn away from injustice.

Recognising a Palestinian state is long overdue. The rights of both Palestinians and Israelis must be upheld, including the right to self-determination. But for too long, an imbalance of power and a culture of impunity have subjugated the rights of the Palestinian people.

Israel’s evacuation notice for Deir al-Balah is catastrophic for an already beleaguered population trying to stave off hunger & malnutrition.

🚨 Today, we continue our #FastForGaza Last week, senior church leaders joined the #FastForGaza during the Church of England’s General Synod. In a powerful act of solidarity, many church leaders skipped their meals to hold vigil and stand with the Palestinian people.

Why is there hope for the future? This was the powerful question we asked school children at our special service at @westminsterabbey.bsky.social last month, marking 80 yrs of Christian Aid. Their inspiring & thoughtful responses gave us not only hope but the drive to keep building a better future
