Last night, all my children lay awake for hours. My eldest lay next to me as I struggled to put the baby to sleep. She held my hand and said, ‘Mama, you’re doing a great job. I’m here.’ She waited until I could hold her. My heart is completely broken. I hold them tighter these days & just hope.

🇵🇱🗳️ Good morning, with the opposition winning 248 out of 460 seats in Sejm according to exit polls, the games begin with a winded and thorny but wide path to restore the rule of law in Poland. But first, almost certainly, PiS will get a shot at forming the government.

The atrocities committed by Hamas do not give Israel a license to kill Palestinian civilians indiscriminately. The flattening of Gaza, & tactics deployed to ‘smoke’ Hamas out, are manifestly contrary to IL. The EU must back IL and IHL as a first priority.
