In German folklore, snow was gray and asked the colourful flowers for their hues, but they refused. The snowdrop, however, took pity and shared its pure white colour. In return, the snow let the snowdrop bloom first each year, signalling their pact, and rebirth and hope. #Folklore #Snowdrops #Art
