If predictions about LLMs being the go to prototyping tool for Web UIs are true, that means we're effectively stuck in 2023 with UIs made with React + Tailwind, and I can't help but be really really sad about that

I agree with all of this, especially how important it is to learn the fundamentals. I will say if you've enjoyed using React in the past and are feeling overwhelmed by how different "modern" React is, then I'd strongly recommend picking up Preact instead.

I took the day off work to hang out with my 11mo son. We went for a run, took the bus home, went to his swimming lessons, and had a mini picnic. Everything in the world is new and exciting to him, and it's so precious seeing the way he takes it all in.
