It's genuinely such a pleasure to work on A11y Pulse. I struggled for years to find motivation to work on side projects, but accessibility is something I'm really passionate about. I'm looking forward to putting more time into it this year!

If predictions about LLMs being the go to prototyping tool for Web UIs are true, that means we're effectively stuck in 2023 with UIs made with React + Tailwind, and I can't help but be really really sad about that

I agree with all of this, especially how important it is to learn the fundamentals. I will say if you've enjoyed using React in the past and are feeling overwhelmed by how different "modern" React is, then I'd strongly recommend picking up Preact instead.

I took the day off work to hang out with my 11mo son. We went for a run, took the bus home, went to his swimming lessons, and had a mini picnic. Everything in the world is new and exciting to him, and it's so precious seeing the way he takes it all in.
