Working on the 'overheat' system. Attacks apply heat to the source actor. Some attacks can apply heat to the target too. Heat bleeds off slowly. Hold a button to cool off at the cost of momentary speed loss. Or risk over heat for a large speed loss and defense reduction. #CherubDev #UE5

Three more attacks. Punching now, though I put a mock blade on the wrist so that the animations can be reused for an arm-blade. My intent for melee is that every melee wpn has a three hit combo. The combo index is preserved if you use a different melee attack before finishing the combo. #CherubDev

Enough putting it off. Time to start refactoring combat. This is such a weird but fun animation style to craft for. Purposeful frame drops with linear root motion and off sync frames. This would be a right hand only attack combo. #CherubDev
