Hacking framework done(ish) Basically a way of doing 'spells'. Can be used to apply game effects or just damage eventually. (Like shutting down weapons. Overheating. Debuffs. Explosions.) Mostly, the Ears Weapon Slot is for 'Casting'. Clover uses the ears to broadcast, I guess. #CherubDev #UE5

New body parts dropped. Lore bits; There's been a couple generations of cybernetics. Lucky is of the old kind. Generation 2. Easily recognizable for their ball joints. As such, slang for that gen is probably like "doll kit" or "toy grade". This kit is created by Lucky converting scrap into limbs.

Weapon data structures now being passed to the appearance manager and applying limb art. Still so much to do. Probably next is weapon destruction and cosmetic damage art. (The limbs have less HP than default, so it's registering the equipping as causing a flinch anim.) #CherubDev #UE5 #MechaBunny

Needs refined and some camera work, but the parry system is rebuilt now in GAS. A buff is given to the player at the start of an attack. When damage is calc'd, if the buff matches the dmg type, the dmg is ignored and a parry ability plays. #CherubDev #UE5

Working on the 'overheat' system. Attacks apply heat to the source actor. Some attacks can apply heat to the target too. Heat bleeds off slowly. Hold a button to cool off at the cost of momentary speed loss. Or risk over heat for a large speed loss and defense reduction. #CherubDev #UE5

Finally. Combo attacks working. Now a single ability action can have multiple montages in a array and combo through them during defined combo windows. Importantly, dashing can cancel out of the cooldown getting that oh-so-good MonHun great sword feel. #CherubDev #UE5 #GameDev #BunnyKicks

Tonight's Project: Continues work on the melee framework. Very very sloppy structure right now as I figure out the handles I need to serialize. But, I am able to define hit frames and apply damage instances to HP. Plus some fun hitstop juice. #CherubDev #UE5 #GameDev

Three more attacks. Punching now, though I put a mock blade on the wrist so that the animations can be reused for an arm-blade. My intent for melee is that every melee wpn has a three hit combo. The combo index is preserved if you use a different melee attack before finishing the combo. #CherubDev
