A few trees in our neighbourhood look like patchwork quilts with the colours in different stages of green, red, orange and yellow. The last photo is a tree that is so vibrant I find it hard to focus on it. It’s absolutely gorgeous.

Was excited to see notices for zoning amendments to build 2 (not one, but two!) 6 storey developments on Park St (notices were from ~ May this year) replacing single family homes. My own home is a single family one very close to an ION station, hoping we get approached by a developer :)

Bike lanes on Duke st with a sidewalk for pedestrians. These lead to the Kitchener Farmer’s market. The Region was supposed to add painted bike lanes on Frederick St this year, that would connect nicely to one end of these bike lanes.

Yet to find a “traditional” dish that tastes bad (only tasted vegan/vegetarian ones so far). My theory is that they’ve stood the test of time and can’t be all bad (I’ve made some not-so-good dishes experimenting by replacing ingredients - for e.g using navy beans instead of chickpeas in hummus).
