Well the ASX has reacted negatively to the tariff announcement. Not sure why. We have escaped to worst of it but still it opened 2% lower. But the longer term implications are what's driving the markets. Trump left his announcement until after the Dow closed. I expect the Dow to crash tomorrow.

Again, the markets are a strange beast. Hints of Elons' demise at the White House boosted Tesla's share price by $14.00. Later, denial (after the markets closed) and the futures price went down $16.00.
