As part of figuring out the visual style I'd like to use in my visual novel, I've decided to give digital painting a whirl. I enjoyed the process quite a bit, and the result is my personal favorite piece I've ever created digitally. I'll definitely be doing more digital painting soon!

I made a little charcoal sketch of my growlithe plushie, Ember! I think it came out looking pretty cool, but I'm not sure what possessed me to start drawing so high up on the page lol

Turns out that when I actually slow down and think while drawing (difficult), it comes out looking pretty decent. Truly shocking.

For the first time since high school, I decided to give charcoal drawing a try. I enjoyed the process of making this so much! Charcoal lets me be much more expressive than I can be with digital art. Also, I am in no way whatsoever mentally ill, trust me. (I am lying.)

New sketchbook! I drew a dog in it. Truly groundbreaking. I've never done anything like this before.
