Laine will never be a great defensive or 5v5 player. But you need pure scorers to win and he’s one of the best in the entire NHL!!

FWIW Habs could have 8 1st rd picks on their top 3 lines with 1 2nd rd pick. On the blue line 3 1st rounders and a 2nd rd pick on the top-4. On the 4th line is a 4th, 5th and 7th rd pick. 3rd pair is a 4th rd pick and an undrafted player.

Habs finally score on the PP. I believe that breaks a streak of 12 straight preseason games without one. Then of course they immediately give it back 🤦‍♂️. Good thing these games don’t count!

Personally I would be shocked if Flo-X made the opening roster. However, I do think he will finish the season with the Habs.
