This forum is an open discussion, exploring the potentials of foregrounding the software life-cycle from a feminist perspective to see whether rethinking elements of the life-cycle - how they are performed, operationalised - through a feminist lens may result in more inclusive, less harmful tech.

Naji's article focuses on Shaowen Bardzell’s seminal 2010 Feminist Human Computer Interaction paper, among others. Bardzell lists participation, advocacy, ecology, pluralism, embodiment & self disclosure as values of feminist HCI design, these are discussed with relation to the FSF toolkit...

The FSF toolkit aims to develop, document, & share methods & approaches to developing tools/systems/code which consider intersectional feminist, queer, & anti-racists values. As such, @swebb.bsky.social writes about inclusive metadata & considers the importance of language in data & archives

This article outlines our intersectional feminist framework for research & details how we work as a team, the methods & practices we use to inform our research. It is a commitment to working in a particular way, acknowledging this approach is not always easy & requires persistence & patience.
