I've used Aseprite for years and I love it with its optional 3rd party extensions and all that, but looking at the steam clips for DSprite, DSprite seems to really target a lot of new features that I've been wanting in Aseprite for so long.

I play around in Aseprite every now and then. Definitely curious about this one.

DSprite can do Layer & Layer Group based outlining. The outlines aren't baked to the canvas in the .dsp file, but when you export your pngs the outlines are baked there, allowing changes to characters without having to redo your outlines.
