I donāt often post about politics on social media. Partly because I want my social media use to be professional or near professional. Partly because I donāt think social media is the space for reasoned and mature political debate. However, I feel I need to post about this: (1/5)

Update on this: I got a response yesterday, and it was a rejection. Iām pretty sure it was a tiered rejection, though, which always helps. Nevertheless itās another row of red on my submissions table.

I had the idea to write (& post) some short poems every so often which are inspired by the title of a poetry magazine or press. They probably wonāt be my best work, but if I enjoy it Iāll keep going. Itās a show of my appreciation for people who choose to dedicate their time to publishing poems.

Increasingly tempted every day that passes to apply for funding and start producing sick as hell poetry anthologies. If anyone knows a publisher who is seeking someone to run an anthology project please let them know I am dying to pitch. š¤

THIS STATUS IS JOY I have confused the letters that were in the poem and which you were busily scribbling for a book Forgive me they were a pale view so sad and so exact

I am waiting to hear back on a poetry journal submission. I should have expected a response by now. I always give some extra leeway before chasing up. I think āthey must be seriously considering my workā However, I do keep obsessively checking emails. This happens every few months.

Well, now I've settled into bluesky a little, put up my feet, made a cup of tea, and fallen asleep by the fire I suppose I should tell them as don't know about my survey for my PhD:

Any and all responses welcome, and all you need to do is read poems. Easy.
