After listening to Second Summer a couple of weeks ago, I should have known to brace myself before listening to Four Times Told. But I didn’t. And then I cried in the waiting room for my kid’s therapist. A++ emotional trauma in Chapter 6.

My kid associates fanfic with romance, and is still at the age where romance is “gross”. But y’all, their google drive is full of half written Legend of Zelda fanfic. Give it a few more years and they will be a menace.

LWJ’s code reviews focus on syntax, coding standards, and maintainability. WWX’s veer off onto tangents about the ethical consequences of using generative AI in both our workflows and our products. He knows from experience because of this one personal project that went horribly wrong…

Maybe faces are fine, and it’s just likenesses I can’t do? Ugh, I dunno, I kinda hate it. More practice needed.

I’ve listened to over 500 hours of Wangxian podfics since May. I’m not even sure how that’s possible.

I ended up doing the same lotus painting twice over the weekend. The first was WAY too much color. I already knew I overworked my paintings, but this tutorial definitely helped me see how and why I was doing that. I improved on the second attempt. Tutorial artist: www.instagram.com/janetpulcho

Ok, trying out these watercolor tutorials. The first layer is down and looks… a bit like a hot mess compared to the artist’s example. I put down *too much* color. Pretty in character for me, tbh.
