what's a good way for me to bring a fursuit head with me on flights? there's no way for me to compress it into the dimensions for carry-on (55 x 35 x 25 cm), and checked luggage doesn't sound like a great idea when the base of my head is hard plastic (shatter-prone?)

playing minecraft 1.12.2 modded and i don't remember AE2 UEL being so broken? the latest release has a bug where items aren't correctly compared upon insertion which can cause them to merge with existing items (hash collision), and the logic for missing empty buckets causes crafting deadlocks

if you opened the app/site yesterday evening and have not been receiving notifications since, i urge you to reopen it, and that should fix it. i have no way of reaching out to affected people directly, as i simply store too little data for that

i might actually get the funniest outcome, which is that the issue is a short delay between firebase cloud messaging tokens being generated and them actually working. i'm going to risk it and leave the new version up. unfortunately, i did stay up until 4 am looking into it

pushed out design changes and a bunch of other stuff, but it seems like it also broke ... something, but i don't know what or how, and i don't know what to do about it. took the front end offline and i guess i'll have to roll it all back, but for some users, stuff might still be broken

shoutout to whoever opened an issue on github because i totally would've just gone back to sleep for another 3 hours if you hadn't instead, i got out of bed at 6:30 to fix things after an outage that shouldn't have happened that was statistically almost at the worst possible moment

spent like an hour or two rewriting the backend (from firehose to Jetstream) only to revert it again after a couple of minutes because it caused a delay in notifications 🙃

I just published the source code for Skynotify (AGPLv3) github.com/Jochem-W/sky.... I wanted to delay this more, but with the instability in the streaming endpoints of the Bluesky API lately, I thought this might be a good moment.
