I agree. And this is where I struggle the most with #go3spoilers Because S1 was a satire of all the "big gestures" and "typical heroism". I felt like Pratchett showed many times in his characters in books that you don't need grandiosity to save the world. For me, S3 was... too epic.

That's true. I guess to me it feels like a Terry ending done by NG, which is exactly what it is, I suppose. The closest thing we can get to a canon ending without the better writer around to help. I guess I just don't like the NG-ness of it (tragedy, brutality, lack of agency, lack of levity).

Good Omens is a show for people who like stories about angels and demons, and then at the end it was like "Oh you like magic and supernatural stories? You fool! That's BULLSHIT. The real magic is a godless universe that begins and ends for no reason and when people die they're just gone."

It feels like Neil Gaiman ruined the Good Omens 3 ending on purpose to get back at the world for believing his accusers.

What really hurts me that just like Crowley, I was an optimist. Every time there was a leak - the Edinburgh bookshop photos with weird hair, the random quotes from the cast that appeared here and there, the season being reduced to a movie, the leaked soundtrack and many other things 🧵 #go3spoilers
